Eravikulam National Park

The Eravikulam Wildlife Sanctuary in Keralais established for the preservations and rehabilitation of the threatened Nilgiri Tahr.Today, the park is the largest home of Tahr’s existing in the world. Apart from this famous specie, this national park also provides refuge to shelters Atlas Moth, Elephants, Sambhar’s, Gaurs, Lion-tailed Macaque, Nilgiri, Langur, Tigers and Leopards.

Apart from being an ideal refuge to the endangered species, Eravikulam National Park also features 2695 meter highest peak known as Anamudi. Anamudi is the highest peak in South India and it is located within the park area itself. In fact, along with relishing the scenic beauty of the mountain you can also go for adventurous activity such as trekking.
